GoodGoing! and Reseau Entreprendre for the Entrepreneurs

REL Member

The first meeting

Networking can take you anywhere… If you know what you want!

I’ve been playing golf for some years now. I’ve taken many lessons and done an awful lot of practice because my passion for golf knows no limits: golf teaches you about life and is so much more than a sport.

Competitions often get sponsorships. For a number of years, Reseau Entreprende, which has been active in Piedmont since 2010, has been the sponsor of one of the competitions taking place at my Golf Club. This is where I first got to know about it.

The Association

Reseau Entreprendre is a network of senior entrepreneurs that provide mentoring to new entrepreneurs as they set up their businesses. The aim is to help them achieve success, so that new employment opportunities and wealth may develop wherever they have decided to employ their skills – be that in Piedmont, Lombardy, Morocco, Alsace, Chile or Portugal.

At the core of Réseau Entreprendre lies the willingness of expert entrepreneurs to mentor new entrepreneurs, with the goal of transmitting to them the same passion for entrepreneurship that drive their companies. Our members make themselves available, entirely free of charge, to provide the following services: studying business plans, taking part in validation committees, mentoring new entrepreneurs and taking an active part in the association.

The mentoring service is aimed at people who are setting up a new enterprise or are restructuring existing businesses; people who have the potential to transform their companies into a small or medium-sized enterprises (SME) thanks to their ambition, entrepreneurial skills and their target market.

New entrepreneurs need to meet some requirements in order to benefit from the shadowing provided by one of Réseau Entreprendre’s entrepreneurs.

Réseau Entreprendre is a self-funded association that functions autonomously. It is financed mainly through the annual membership fees paid by participating entrepreneurs, and partly through funds issued by institutions in private partnership.

After that first meeting, I put aside their brochure, as well as their e-mail invitations to lunches and events, thinking I’d go back to it at a later stage.

Goodgoing! is part of Réseau Entreprendre Lombardy (REL) from the start

After a few years, I picked up their brochure again to find out more. I was about to start GoodGoing!, and the association’s approach seemed perfectly in line with GoodGoing!’s inspiring principle.

While GoodGoing! is a for-profit business, Réseau Entreprendre is a not-for-profit organisation: GoodGoing!, therefore, contributes to its activities pro-bono.

Why do I do it?

  • Because I believe in entrepreneurship as the main drive behind the creation of job opportunities
  • Because I believe that capable people – people who are more capable than others, that is – should create business opportunities
  • Because we have received very much, so the least we can do is give back
  • Because, even if we think we haven’t received that much, giving is still the best way of receiving.

In what terms, you’re asking? The answer is simple: in terms of networking, creative incentives, ideas, innovation and business opportunities.

Also, it’s all about start-ups these days, so what better opportunity is there to know a trend than being among its setters?!
